The City of Northport, Alabama is situated in Tuscaloosa County along the banks of the Black Warrior River, located adjacent to the City of Tuscaloosa. Northport is the 21st largest city in Alabama. It has a population of almost 25,000 people and is part of the Tuscaloosa Metropolitan Statistical Area. The city was incorporated in 1871.
