Brookwood is a western Alabama town situated in Tuscaloosa County. The town was incorporated in September 1977. According to the United States Census Bureau, Brookwood had a population of approximately 1,828 people in 2010. The town is considered to be part of the Tuscaloosa Metropolitan Statistical Area.

There are many things to see and do around Brookwood. The town is home to several restaurants including Huddle House and Dewey’s BBQ and Grill. These restaurants serve southern style food and many residents of the town consider these two restaurants to be the best in town. Brookwood is also home to several local shops.  Individuals visiting Brookwood will have the opportunity to visit various local stores and boutiques that offer individuals a glimpse into the culture of Brookwood.

Brookwood is located in a climate that is characterized by hot, humid summer and mild winters. Daytime temperatures during the months of June, July, and August range from the upper-80s to low-90s. In addition to warm temperatures, rain is also very common during summer months. The average precipitation amount during the summer is almost as great as the amount during the spring. The combination of warm temperatures and rainfall creates a humid environment. Residents of Brookwood will find it necessary to invest in central air conditioning units.
